Cindy Engquist
, Creative Engine behind ALL ABOUT YOUniversity, has spent the last 30 years creatively and strategically positioning, marketing, and selling products, services, issues, policy positions, and personalities.

Ms. Engquist’s background includes experience in corporate New York, on Capitol Hill, and in government, trade and charitable associations, non-profit organizations, retail operations, sales and marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Ms. Engquist has shared her strategically creative talents with entities such as Nordstrom, The American Trucking Associations, Avon, the Arlington, Virginia, Chamber of Commerce, and the McLean Business Forum.  In May, Ms. Engquist was the featured speaker at and consultant to the launch of the new Budapest, Hungary, Business Chamber.

In 2005, Ms. Engquist originated her full-service marketing practice, ENGQUIST & EDGE Message & Marketing, as ALL ABOUT YOU, and continues to serve private clients. As a marketing coach, in October 2007 she opened ALL ABOUT YOUniversity
to provide small business owners with the promotional help that they desire.

With a “blood type of E for entrepreneur,” Ms. Engquist has invented and run her own businesses since the birth of her daughter in 1992 and her son in 1994.  She is now the fun-loving mother of two teenagers, one of whom must be driven to and from his school 20 miles away every day.  Her teens challenge her to continue to develop the useful skill of multitasking and to avoid the temptation to email, sing, and attempt to drive at the same time.

Ever since Ms. Engquist found out in 1995 that registering children for preschool requires strategic planning and political savvy, practicing the work-life balance has become a logistical skill, often requiring spontaneous problem-solving, creativity, and alternate routes criss-crossing Northern Virginia.  In the course of chauffeuring kids, meeting clients, and actively networking online and off, in six years she has logged about 120,000 miles on her van, whose license plate reads, “VIVIDLY”.
